Wrong-way driver kills 3, including himself
(CUSTER COUNTY, Okla.) Three people are dead after a two-vehicle wreck west of Weatherford. Troopers said it happened Friday on I40 near the 77.5 mile marker westbound just after 2 a.m. We’re told 68-year-old Ronald Eugene Moore of Oklahoma City was drunk and had driven at least 12 miles in the wrong direction before hitting another vehicle. Both people in the other vehicle, a 48-year-old man and a 25-year-old man from Delano, California, died at the scene. Moore also died at the scene. Moore’s passenger, 48-year-old Sandra Louise Moore, was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition. A Custer County Deputy was in the eastbound lanes with their emergency lights on and spotlighting Moore’s vehicle, trying to stop him, when the wreck happened.
