STRUT 2023 announces Spring Casting Call dates and locations

(TULSA, Okla.) STRUT For Your Cause, the Multi-City Annual Fashion Play, is getting ready for its 2023 season, beginning with spring casting calls throughout Oklahoma over the next two weeks.

The annual fashion show is produced by Selah Productions, Inc. Their evocative fashion play concept uses theatrical style to showcase talent and highlight social issues with dance, music, and other art.

The upcoming dates and locations are as follows:

Friday, April 28, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Centennial Center in Veterans Park (formerly Centennial Park) located at 1028 E.6th St., Tulsa, OK 74120

Saturday, April 29, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lacy Park located at 2134 N Madison Pl, Tulsa, OK 74106

Saturday, May 6, 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at AAA Print Photography/H.L. Model Studio, located at 709 S. Air Depot Blvd #B Midwest City, OK 73110

Selah Productions Inc. Owner Tiara Crawford said they are looking for dancers, models, performers, stylists, boutiques, designers, and volunteers to bring their dynamic showcase to life.

Crawford said all show participants must have a personal cause (a social, physical, or mental condition that they want to bring awareness to).

Models are asked to wear all black for the upcoming casting calls, tank tops with tights or pants and heels. Models should also bring a photo; professional is preferred but non-professional photos will also be accepted. All ages will be accepted but the company is looking for at least 10 children to runway and at least six children to travel the tour for dance.

Designers are asked to bring samples of their work to the casting call. Photos will also be accepted. Crawford said they also offer design and sewing assistance for free to newcomers who have a dream of fashion design.

As for dancers, STRUT is looking for at least one ballet dancer, at least two dancers who are proficient in miming and or praise dance, who know how to use flags or ribbons, and at least three dancers who can also perform an eclectic range, including hip-hop.
